- Do I need to install anything? Will it work with my computer?
No, there is nothing to install to use WorshipWebSite.net. Unlike many church management software suites, WorshipWebSite.net is what's called a 'hosted solution', meaning that we host the web site - all you need is a computer with internet access. We recommend and support Internet Explorer (ver. 6 and up) and Firefox on Windows and Firefox on MAC. See our system requirements page for more information.
Essentially, since you log into the web site, you will see new updates immediately, and all updates and new features are automatic and free for all subscribers.
- We have multiple worship teams in our church. Will WorshipWebSite.net work for us?
Absolutely! WorshipWebSite.net was designed for use by multiple teams -- as many as you need. And with the ability to add unlimited numbers of chord charts for each song, each team can have their own set to work with. With the 'team concept', specific information such as notifications and orders of worship will be shown to only the people in the teams that need to see them.
For instance, say you have three worship bands. Each play a different service on Sunday. You can set up a separate order for each service, and specify a different team for each order. That way, "Band 1" will see the order for Band 1, "Band 2" will see the order for Band 2, and so on.
- We don't have any set worship teams in our church. We schedule different people every week. Will WorshipWebSite.net work for us?
Again, absolutely! WorshipWebSite.net's User Confirmation system was built to allow you complete flexibility when scheduling people for your worship services. And there's also a handy User Availability System in place so your people can let you know when they wont be available. And the system is smart, so it will not even allow you to schedule people who aren't available.
- Does WorshipWebSite.net come with songs already?
No. There is no way we can know which songs your church sings and plays, so to include a catalog of songs we feel would be more confusing, rather than helpful. You can enter just the songs your ministry plays, in just the way you want them. We do offer a custom import service - just supply us with your list of songs or people (in either MS Excel or MS Access format) and we'll import them for you to help get you started quicker. And you also have a useful CCLI SongSelect import feature to save typing!
- Can we upload audio tracks for each song?
Yes. As long as you own the music and are covered by some form of license from the publishing company. We recommend using snippets of songs, and rendering them in low-quality -- just to give team members a 'feel' for the song and/or how the song goes.
But you are not limited to just audio tracks. You can also upload scores and notation files from programs such as Finale and Sibelius. Or PDFs. or MS Word documents. It's up to you! And now you can also attach files right to your orders of worship!
- Does WorshipWebSite.net have a calendar?
Yes! It's full featured, including events you can assign to specific teams and/or people (so only the people who need to can view them), you can have recurring events that come up every week for a specified amount of time, all-day events that aren't assigned a time, and you can also set up reminders that the system will send out automatically any number of days before an event is to take place. You can even show your orders of worship on the calendar too!
- What is the difference between 'Send Email' and 'Notifications'?
The "Send Email" link displays a simple form for sending email to a single team member, or an entire team, or multiple teams. You simply type in a subject, a message and hit the "send" button! You don't have to look up email addresses or spend time making groups in your email program. Everyone on each team has access to sending email.
Notifications, however are more powerful. For use only by Administrators, a notification places on the WorshipWebSite.net homepage for your church important messages that each user will see when they log in. Notifications use the 'Team Concept' in that you direct them to those people who need to see them, such as your choir, or Band 1. You choose how long the notification remains active (viewable) on the homepage, and can also choose to send the notification in an email to each person. You can select a team, and the whole team gets it, or just one person, and only they will get the email, and see the notification posted on the site. And now you can also send notifications as an SMS Text message to users' cell phones, if desired.
