Our History
WorshipWebSite.net has been three years in the making! And is now available to you for use in your church. A few years ago, the worship leader at our church approached Mark (knowing Mark has experience in developing web sites) and asked if it was possible to create a separate website, where he and worship team members could log in, post and view information about upcoming services. Mark said "sure!" and began work.
Taking one idea upon another, the site began to take shape. It became a tool the church used every week, every day, in fact, in preparation for service on Sunday mornings. Over 100 people in the worship ministry had access to the site and were able to, from the comfort of home, view the order of worship and practice up, even before practice night! The choir had the words to sing, along with notation that played the notes, right over their computer speakers. Band members had chord charts from which to practice, as well as audio files of new songs so they could hear them and play along with.
Soon, the site became the ONLY place the ministry used for exchanging of information pertaining to Sunday worship services. It replaced endless games of phone tag, photocopying of songlists, and manually distributing CDs to band members. It put each member of the team in a position to be responsible for their own part - to find out what was coming up, and to prepare for service ahead of time.
For the Worship Leaders, well, the comments spoke of the wealth of time saved by using the site, and what an incredible burden that was lifted from their shoulders. Not to mention the fact that an order of worship could now be put together in just a few minutes! And a message could be sent to the whole team with two clicks! No more scrounging up email addresses and phone numbers!
In Ministry
Now the idea behind this site has been transformed into something even more useable, and designed for many churches to use, and benefit from. More features have been added allowing you wonderful flexibility in how you use the tools to your advantage. And the notion of helping worshippers spend more time worshipping and less time with all the details has become our ministry. Let our ministry help your ministry.
